Croydon library has a copy of this well regarded book-but their system at the moment does not allow you to understand –where it is—who has it — or when it might be due back—that is if it is on loan at all ——- that I discovered at their customer services desk. Any suggestions? Amazon want around £50 for a copy–a little too expensive for me-any suggestions short of taking the chief librarian hostage at Croydon until it turns up, would be welcome.
