I currently have 10,000 credit… 3,000 career development loan & 3 1500 credit cards plus 1 1500 Bank Overdraft…. I have currently missed 2 months payments on my credit cards.
I was recently declined for a tesco credit card… I’m now scared to apply for another one, any one know another Credit card i can apply for?
How can I now boost my credit rating so I will be accepted for better rate credit in the future?
If i pay minimum payment for 6months will this make me ok again??
ok, ok, i just really need 2,000 extra in this next month as i am going to work abroad for good money & i’ll need money for accomadation & food etc, what is a company I could apply to, to get this amount even if it means paying higher interest?
Okay, so I think I must get my full loan REALLY cheap because I’ve seen some questions recently saying how much loans are and people seem to think they’re about £600 a month NOT including feed and vets and farrier.
Now I don’t know about you, but my horse lives out on grass livery (doesn’t have a stable) which includes hay in the winter, at a stable that is by no means ‘cheap’. The owners pay farrier bills and I pay half of the Vets (but she’s never ill anyway).
I won’t tell you how much I pay but it is a lot less than what everyone else seems to; I pay for her full grass livery, half vets, and her food and extra hay every month.
So how much do you pay, and what do the owners pay for?
I’m just curious because if for some hidious reason I have to give up my part loan and get another I think I may be shocked to see how expensive they are!
Thanks

I am a law student and I have to use loans to finance my law degree. I did not have loans for my undergraduate degree, so I don’t know much about them. My financial aid office is not helpful. I qualify for the Stafford loans, but it is not enough to cover my expenses. I saw that the government is expanding the PLUS loan to graduate students, and I am curious about it.
For instance:
Who qualifies?
What are the borrowing limits?
Do you have to borrow a certain amount?
Would accepting a PLUS loan interfere with other types of aid?
What are the advantages of PLUS loans as compared to private loans?
Im a full-time student (in the UK) and i dont have a job. Can i get a credit card? I applied for one last week but it got turned down because of my credit score.
I have taken out the interest free overdraft on my student account, but otherwise dont have any debts or any credit history.
When filling in the box for annual income, i just put my student loan plus interest from my savings. Should i have included the money my parents give me monthly? Would this have made any difference to the decision?
Would it be worth applying to other credit cards to see if they decide differently? Or would being turned down by others damage my credit score? The one i applied for was tesco.
And before anyone says… i only want one so i can get one with 0% on purchases for up to a year. So i can keep the money i spend in my savings account for a year, then pay off the credit card at the end of the 0% period. I don’t plan to ever pay any interest or fees on a credit card.
Lily – im planning on getting one with 0% on purchases so i can use the credit card for all my spending, pay the minimum off each month, and keep all the money i spend in my savings account for 10-12 months.
Then just before the 0% interest on purchases period ends, ill take the money out of my savings account and pay off the card. That means i get to keep the interest from having it in my savings account, so around 4% of the average debt on the card over the year. I figure that’d be around £50 just for using a card to pay for my shopping instead. And it would give me more protection on purchases over £100.
